At SUTRA, we want WELLNESS PRACTICES to be accessible to everyone.
We created this karma card program to encourage our community to help even out the gap of inequality in access to high-quality wellness services in the greater Lowell area.
Karma Cards are our "pay-it-forward" program that allows anyone unable to afford regular classes to practice in our regular yoga and meditation classes with us.
Our karma card board was visible and public before 2020 (the covid times) and had to transition to a spreadsheet (snore). We are bringing them back in full force, and visible - so the studio community can visually see when our collection is running low and can make immediate steps to donate and help replenish resources.
This program empowers every individual in our community to make a difference that is both local and direct.
ANYONE CAN DONATE OR USE KARMA CARDS
YOU, YES YOU.
By adding to the collective pool, you (yes YOU) personally help someone that is facing challenges financially by the practice of generosity in donating a class or month pass to the pool. Then, a person in need practices gratitude by using the card that you have added to the collective pool.
WE’VE BEEN THERE TOO
We all face financial difficulty time to time and this empowers the community to pay it forward.
WHY BOTHER?
Karma cards support the studio community but also the studio to be able to train, employ, and donate to community organizations.

Purchase a karma card and add to the collective for your community in the amount of

The karma card then is put into the collection of donations. Someone that is in need can take from the collection of karma cards for their use in person or virtually.

Our karma cards are located at the front desk, and anyone can donate a karma card or use one by request.

Karma Cards are anonymous. You are probably looking for GIFT CERTIFICATES.
But an FYI - Participants in our classes must sign liability waivers along with registration within our booking system here: sutrastudio.com/register

Anyone* can request to use a karma card for a drop-in, no questions asked.
The karma cards for the 30 day New to SUTRA trial are reserved for participants new to our studio only.
*all participants over the age of 16 with a signed waiver, see fine print.

Yes, you can use the drop-in karma card. If it has been more than 2 years since your last visit to us, you may be eligible for the “New to SUTRA offer”.

Karma Card purchases IMMEDIATELY go into a pool of resources for the ENTIRE COMMUNITY and are not used like “normal” or “basic” gift certificates. They will show as redeemed upon purchase. They are not intended for a specific person(s) use.
