BOOKING + CANCELLATION POLICY

In this time we are all sharing, we have the opportunity to develop an even more mindful lifestyle.

Making sure your time is honored and spaces are respected - we have policies regarding booking, waitlist, cancellation and no-show for all of our offerings.

With the intention of making sure everyone has the opportunity to experience our offerings - we ask that you take note, and also understand we are doing our best.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

CANCELLATION WINDOWS

All cancellations made outside of the EARLY CANCELLATION window will be considered LATE CANCEL / NO SHOW- for a regular yoga or meditation class a pass will be deducted from your class pass, or charged the full current price or event fee.


Getting to Mill No. 5 and getting inside can be challenging, so we offer one "freebie" for missing a regular in-studio yoga or meditation class if requested in writing to our general email hello@sutrastudio.com within 4 hours of the class. 
All other no-shows will be charged the full current drop in rate.


Early cancellations will consider the event fee unused - if within the pricing option's expiration window. The unused event fee will be returned to your SUTRA account, not your payment method, is subject to expiration dates, and must be used within 1 year. 

ARRIVALS - GETTING TO SUTRA

Arriving at Mill No. 5 and going inside can be quite an adventure. Allow extra time for the stairs or solo elevator ride, class check in & getting settled in.

Due to short staffing and difficulties in the building we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. Those arriving after class start are considered NO-SHOW/ LATE CANCEL and subject to a fee or class deduction.

Many of our in-studio classes are also live streamed via Zoom. Be sure to register for the correct class that you are attending so that we know you are coming and can do our best to keep a look out for your arrival!

APPOINTMENTS

Appointments may be booked in-person at SUTRA, through our website scheduler, calling the studio, or by requesting a time via email at info@sutrastudio.com. For last minute appointments (those within 48 hours) please call 844.337.8872 and we will do our best to accommodate.

BOOKING

To secure your appointment a credit card is required.

Appointments may be changed or cancelled before 48 hours prior to appointment start time without charge.

Cancellations or changes to appointments made within 48 hours prior to appointment start time are considered “LATE CANCEL / NO SHOW” will be charged 100% of the original appointment cost. All other cancellations, including no-shows will be charged to the credit card at full price of the original booking.

Late Arrivals

Please arrive 15 minutes early for all appointments unless otherwise notified by SUTRA.  We want you to get the most from your experience and late arrivals may result in shorter appointment times or considered a LATE arrival based on the service type and therapist’s discretion.  Arrivals after 15 minutes late to scheduled appointment time are considered late cancellations.

SUTRA aims to provide a safe and supportive environment for our community and staff. SUTRA STUDIO  provides private yoga + meditation lessons, massage therapy, energy healing methods, therapeutic sensory experiences to individuals 18 years and older who seek our care. Please be aware that certain medical conditions may be ineligible to receive certain treatments.

PURCHASE POLICY

ALL PURCHASES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE

As a small business, SUTRA STUDIO mindfully practices conscious retail and we ask that you do the same. Our classes, workshops, trainings, therapies and merchandise are carefully curated with our team and community. Making your purchase with SUTRA supports a network of ethical, local, and sustainable vendors. You conscious shopping directly benefits humans, animals and the environment. 

YOGA AND MEDITATION CLASSES, WORKSHOPS All class passes and memberships are non-refundable, may not be shared or transferred; they are for your enjoyment only. Class purchases may not be returned, but may be exchanged for SUTRA credit if:

  • inside expiration period 

  • Are inside the EARLY CANCELLATION WINDOW

Purchases returned to your SUTRA Account and are good for a maximum of ONE YEAR. Please note the expiration date of your purchase and new expiration of credit. All Purchase returns are handled at the discretion of SUTRA STUDIO

EXPIRATIONS + EXTENSIONS Expiration dates are as marked. Sale classes and special promotions are not eligible fo extensions. Class pass expiration (single, and 10 pack) may be extended with the purchase of another pass, at the discretion of SUTRA STUDIO. The unused passes are extended for that additional time of the new purchase. For example, if you have 5 unused passes that are about to expire and purchase a drop in, we will extend the expiration of all 6 classes to an additional 30 days. If your drop-in or class pass has expired, you have the option to "roll over" your unused drop-ins, or classes by purchasing any class pass or drop-in and your "rolled over" classes expiration will be extended to the expiration of your newly purchased service. This does not apply to no-show/LATE cancelled classes, New to SUTRA membership or expired monthly unlimited auto-pay memberships. A manager can help you with this process by emailing hello@sutrastudio.com 

RESTRICTIONS

Offers exclusively available to new students OR students that haven’t practiced with us for the past 24 months. If you have practiced with us previously and want to sign up- please email hello@sutrastudio.com. Sign up for this deal to try all the classes and see how often you can attend. Good for REGULAR in-studio and online classes. *All SUTRA classes are ages 18+ and 16 + with a signed waiver by guardian unless otherwise written.

We value and practice mindful consumption here at SUTRA, meaning retail items, classes, enrollments, etc are final sale, non-transferrable, and subject to their expiration date.

Did you forget about your auto-renewing 10 class pass and move away? Sign up for a trial thinking we’re in a different state? Medical emergency causing you to miss a special class or workshop? In the event that a very special circumstance arises and a chargeback or refund is requested and deemed appropriate, you may choose to have the full amount refunded to your SUTRA account balance, OR a refund to your credit card with a processing fee of 10% of the original total charged. We are small, small business, and chargebacks are costly. If you think your situation warrants a discussion about a potential refund, email hello@sutrastudio.com for a manager to respond. All requests must be submitted in writing- leaving a voicemail, or talking to the front desk, will not move the discussion forward.

Merchandise purchases are final sale. If you decide you must return what you have purchased you will receive a credit on your SUTRA STUDIO account. SUTRA Account credits may be used toward services, experiences and merchandise. Credit will remain on your account for one year. Please note the expiration date of your purchase and new expiration of credit. All Purchase returns are handled at the discretion of SUTRA STUDIO

Services offered at SUTRA STUDIO are not a substitute for medical treatment or diagnosis.

Practitioners at SUTRA do not diagnose illness, disease, or any other physical or mental disorder. The practitioner, teacher or staff does not prescribe medical treatment of pharmaceuticals, nor do they perform any spinal manipulations.

Special guest presenters or teachers are noted with their specific credentials regarding their specialty but should not take the place of medical advice of a primary care doctor or specialist. 

SUTRA STUDIO staff, employees or affiliates aim to be guides in offering ways for you to enrich your own life. We are not the ones providing the "Healing" it is you, your effort, your autonomy and control of your own body and mind in a mindful manner that allows for transformation. Live your truth.  You are saving, healing, and loving you. We are sharing, inspiring and helping to facilitate the process.

All services and lessons provided by SUTRA (Sutra Studio, LLC) and staff are professional non-sexual services. Any client scheduling a session for the purpose of solicitation of sexual acts will be reported to the proper authorities and denied service from SUTRA immediately and in the future.
We take the wellbeing of our team and community very seriously.
Any persons creating harmful or inappropriate situations including illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or actions causing the health and wellbeing of SUTRA, staff, community or associated entities – will be banned from SUTRA, reported to Mill No.5 Management,  and appointments will be terminated immediately without refund or credit. #noteffingaround!

WAIVER + RELEASE OF LIABILITY

SUTRA STUDIO, LLC (hereafter referred to as “SUTRA”) is a community-focused yoga studio intended to foster love, kindness and interconnectedness, and to incite positive transformation within ourselves, our neighborhood, and the places we visit. We care about creating an encouraging space that can be safely enjoyed by all.

I, { STUDENT /GUARDIAN NAME },  hereby agree to the following:

Yoga and other offered activities in-person and/or online (offerings of live or pre-recorded movement practices, on-site and off-site classes and retreats, workshops, meditation, energy and massage therapies) are not a substitute for medical attention, examination, diagnosis or treatment.

By signing below, I acknowledge, and agree to the following:

  1. Practice and participation at and with SUTRA may involve risks, and by participating I accept all risks, even those created by the carelessness, negligence or gross negligence of SUTRA, myself, or anyone else. I recognize that activities may involve physical exertion which may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the hazards involved.

  2. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in these activities. I represent and warrant that I am physically fit and I have no medical condition which would prevent my full participation in the activities at SUTRA. A licensed physician has verified my good health and physical condition to participate in activities offered at SUTRA. 

  3. I am responsible for maintenance of my own safety and will respect my own personal limits to stop physical activity before I become ill or injured. SUTRA staff may offer hands-on assists and adjustments. It is my responsibility to adequately inform and remind SUTRA staff if I wish not to experience hands-on assistance.

  4. I hereby release SUTRA from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, legal actions, or rights of actions for damages, personal injury or death in connection with participation in activities at SUTRA or through SUTRA offerings online or off-site. This extends to any and all of the SUTRA teachers, affiliates, independent contractors, lease facilities, and their respective representatives, directors, officers, agents, employees or volunteer staff.

  5. I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive all claims I may have against SUTRA, its owners, sponsors, staff and contractors, for any injury or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in programs or activities offered at and through SUTRA.

  6. I, my heirs and/or legal representatives, forever release, waive discharge and covenant negligence and/or other acts that may arise against SUTRA, its owners, sponsors, staff and contractors.

  7. I grant my permission to SUTRA and any transferee or licensee of them, to utilize any photographs, motion pictures, videotapes, recordings and other references or records of activities at SUTRA which may depict, record or refer to me for any purpose (“likeness”), including commercial use by the released parties, their sponsors and their licensees.

  8. All payments are non-refundable or transferable for any reason, including, but not limited to extenuating circumstances, illness and injury. The scheduling and content of activities may be changed on occasion as necessitated by schedule and availability based on the mandate of the management staff and contractors of SUTRA.

NEW IN 2020 // COVID19 RELEASE I UNDERSTAND THE RISK: 

  • Assumption of Risk The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread from person-to-person contact. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing.

  • SUTRA STUDIO has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19; however we cannot guarantee that you will not become infected with COVID- 19. Further, engaging in classes (in our studio or off site), working, or visiting our location could increase your risk of contracting COVID-19.

  • By signing this agreement, I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19. By attending SUTRA in-person offerings the exposure to infection could cause personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death.

  • I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself, illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense of any kind that I may experience or incur in connection with my attendance and participation in volunteering or working at SUTRA. I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless SUTRA STUDIO, its employees, agents, and representatives from all claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating to the participation in any in-person offerings. I further agree to alert SUTRA STUDIO if I become ill with COVID-19 after my visit, participation in classes or work in the studio as soon as possible.

We take the well-being of our team and community very seriously. Any persons creating inappropriate situations including dangerous, illicit, or sexually suggestive remarks or actions causing a risk to the health and wellbeing of SUTRA or its staff, community or associated entities in jeopardy will be banned from SUTRA and appointments and or memberships will be terminated immediately without refund or credit.

I have fully read and understood the above release and waiver of liability. I fully understand its contents and that by signing it I am obligated to indemnify the parties named for any liability for injury or death of any person and damage to property caused by my negligent or intentional act or omission. I am aware that by signing this agreement, I am waiving certain legal rights I or my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators and assigns may have against SUTRA. I am signing this agreement voluntarily and recognize that my signature serves as complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

If the registrant is under 18 years of age a legal guardian’s signature indicating authorization and agreement to above terms is required.
